2024 Annual Report
In 2024, the Chesapeake Legal Alliance continued to offer robust environmental legal services, but during a time of great uncertainty. Even before the Presidential election, the future of the Chesapeake Bay Agreement remained unclear, and continued availability of State funding for watershed protection is very much at risk. With and since the election, the new Administration’s sweeping Federal governmental retrenchment threatens maintenance of achievements to date, to say nothing of future improvements.
