BIG NEWS from CLA and EAC
After years of partnering, Chesapeake Legal Alliance and the Environmental Action
Center are becoming one organization. We will make it official in January 2020.
Our board and staff families are really excited about our union and the opportunity to expand our collective impact through:
Dedicated people – Our board and staff have complementary strengths in legal education, litigation, and policy advocacy.
Powerful programs – Combining CLA’s growing network of pro bono lawyers and EAC’s direct legal services makes us stronger together.
Shared resources – By consolidating our administrative infrastructure (office space, accounting, etc.) we are minimizing this shared expense and maximizing the investment of our supporters.
This happy union allows our team to “double down” within the Chesapeake Bay as we expand our work to include climate action and environmental justice.
