Marcus Jones

My clerkship with CLA was an eye-opening and impactful experience! I learned a lot about litigation and client-facing work. I also had the opportunity to work with several different attorneys and two of my fellow Carey law students on various projects, allowing me to not only expand my understanding of environmental law issues in the Chesapeake Bay watershed but also providing me with glimpses of collaborative legal work. The attorneys were very passionate and willing to incorporate us law clerks into ongoing and emerging projects and cases. My experience with CLA opened my eyes to the possibilities of working with environmental nonprofits and I would recommend working with the organization to any law student interested in environmental law, whether within the watershed or elsewhere.
