FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CLA is proud to welcome Mary Clemmensen as CLA’s newest Staff Attorney
Mary joins the CLA team July 11 as our second Staff Attorney through a grant provided by the Rauch Foundation. This second attorney position expands the capacity of CLA to more effectively address the challenges facing the Bay through legal initiatives.
Mary brings to CLA her experience with litigation and regulatory compliance on a variety of environmental issues garnered during her work as an Environmental Associate with CSG Government Solutions, LLC, a Litigation Fellow with the Chesapeake Climate Action Network, and as a law clerk with Wilkes, Artis, Chartered (D.C.), Hunsucker Goldstein, PC (D.C.), the Office of Administrative Hearings (D.C.), and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
She earned her law degree from Vermont Law school – recognized nationally for its strong environmental law program – where she was the Staff Editor and the Web Editor for the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law. Mary earned her degree in Environmental Science from the University of Illinois.
We look forward to introducing you to Mary and getting her to work on the challenges facing the Bay’s recovery.
