
Alexis is joining the CLA team as a Fall 2022 Law Clerk. Alexis is currently a second-year law student at Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and is pursuing an environmental law concentration. At Maryland, Alexis is a member of the National Trial Team, the Student Bar Association, and the executive board of the Maryland Environmental Law Society.
So far, Alexis has spent her time researching interstate waterbodies and cooperation between states to ensure prosperity for future generations. She is intrigued by the cross-section of water law and Environmental Justice. Alexis is particularly excited to work on local Bay issues and the Clean Water Act.
Alexis is a fifth-generation South Floridian. Growing up in South Florida, she gained exposure to a wide variety of environmental issues and found her passion for environmental law. Prior to law school, Alexis graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park with a B.A. in Government and Politics, minoring in Environmental Sustainability. Previously, she spent her time interning for the Florida State Attorney’s office, the United States House of Representatives, and most recently, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. In her free time, she loves to do outdoor activities such as freediving, boating, and hiking. Since moving to Baltimore, she frequently attends Orioles and Ravens games.
