Will Halnon, Staff Attorney, Outreach & Engagement Coordinator
Will Halnon is a Staff Attorney and Outreach & Engagement Coordinator in CLA’s Community Outreach Center. Will manages the case intake process for Chesapeake Legal Alliance. As the first point of contact for CLA’s clients, Will seeks to understand the issues facing each client, provide guidance on a wide variety of environmental law issues, and match clients with the most effective pro bono counsel to serve their needs. As CLA’s Outreach & Engagement Coordinator, Will helps to raise awareness of CLA’s services within the community as well as coordinate outreach to and engagement of CLA’s network of over 300 volunteer attorneys.
Prior to joining CLA, Will worked as a law clerk at the EPA Solid Waste and Emergency Response Law Office, as an environmental law clerk at the Government Accountability Project, and served as a student attorney at the George Washington University Law School’s Small Business and Community Economic Development Clinic.
Will holds a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School with a specialization in Environmental Law, and a B.A. from Tulane University. He is admitted to practice law in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.
Will currently resides in Washington, D.C. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, cooking, being on the water, and attempting to play the guitar.
