With Sadness and Gratitude
The Chesapeake Legal Alliance mourns the sudden loss of our Board member and friend, Vincent Leggett. He was the founder and president of Blacks of the Chesapeake and a tireless advocate to bring to life the Bay’s heritage. Vince was an icon in the region, opening our eyes to the rich histories, communities, and traditions throughout the Chesapeake Bay. Those of us who had the pleasure to know Vince will remember his extensive knowledge of Bay history, his expertise, his easy smile and sense of humor, and his readiness to broaden the conversation and perspective of our work.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this very difficult time. You can find more about Vince on our website and at the articles listed below.
With sadness and gratitude,
Dave and the CLA Staff
