Meet the CLA 2020 Summer Legal Interns
CLA is excited to introduce the 2020 summer legal interns: Jameson Davis and Kassandra Knoff. Jameson and Kasandra will be joining the CLA team in June — albeit virtually — and they both look forward to assisting YOU throughout the summer.
Jameson Davis
Jameson C. Davis is completing his second year at Vermont Law School. He is part of a joint degree program (J.D./MELP), and has already earned a Master of Environmental Law and Policy. Jameson is a former Selectboard Member for the Town of Hartford, Vermont with a passion for combating environmental harm through innovative solutions.
Jameson was a founder of the Environmental Justice Law Society, of which he is now in his second term as co-chair. He is also an Advanced Clinician and an inaugural member of the Vermont Law School Environmental Justice Clinic, which fights against environmental harm in minority communities through enforcement of civil rights laws nationally. Jameson is eager to spend his summer working with the Chesapeake Legal Alliance (CLA) protecting local community members, groups and advocates. He is most excited to assist staff attorneys in their fight to enforce compliance and existing laws designed to protect the most vulnerable communities and habitats found in the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
Kassandra Knoff
Kassandra Knoff is completing her second year at Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C. Even before she began law school, she had a strong desire to use her degree to help others in need. Over time, that desire has evolved to focus on interests in policy, government, international law, and environmental law. She hopes to apply all of the knowledge that these interests have brought her into her work at CLA this summer!
