This interactive map allows users to explore how land use changes in a Maryland county affect water pollution. Conversion of natural lands—such as forests or wetlands—into developed areas generates ongoing polluted runoff. Conversely, restoration efforts like reforesting, wetland recovery, and planting stream buffers can reduce water pollution and improve local waterways.
